Hi, and welcome to Kids & Chess!
I’m Coach Rob, and I have been teaching chess to kids for 13 years and counting. I’ve taught in schools, libraries, rec centers, retail spaces, and spent many an afternoon and evening across the dining room table from a student in their home, doing private one-on-one coaching.
I’m currently offering small group classes in afterschool programs throughout San Diego county, and I would love to talk more about the possibility of bringing my unique Kids & Chess classes to your school as soon as you are ready to get started!
CURRICULUM OUTLINE
Level One
The signature Kids & Chess course, required for all students.

The Kids & Chess Decree
Read aloud by students at the start of every class meeting.
